ततॊ ऽनतरिक्षे च बभूव नादः; समाजमध्ये च महान निनादः पुष्पाणि दिव्यानि ववर्ष देवः; पार्थस्य मूर्ध्नि दविषतां निहन्तुः ॥ १-१७९-१७ ॥

sanskrit

'Then a loud uproar echoed through the sky, and the arena resounded with a clamor. The gods showered celestial flowers upon the head of Partha, the vanquisher of enemies.' ॥ 1-179-17 ॥

english translation

tatò 'natarikSe ca babhUva nAdaH; samAjamadhye ca mahAna ninAdaH puSpANi divyAni vavarSa devaH; pArthasya mUrdhni daviSatAM nihantuH ॥ 1-179-17 ॥
