तौ समीक्ष्य तु वित्रस्ताव अकृतार्थौ परधावितौ तयॊश च दरवतॊर विप्रं जगृहे नृपतिर बलात ।। १-१७३-९ ।।

sanskrit

'Alarmed at the sight of the monarch, the couple ran away, their desire ungratified. However, the king pursued the retreating pair and forcibly seized the Brahmana.' ।। 1-173-9 ।।

english translation

tau samIkSya tu vitrastAva akRtArthau paradhAvitau tayòza ca daravatòra vipraM jagRhe nRpatira balAta || 1-173-9 ||
