तौ समीक्ष्य तु वित्रस्ताव अकृतार्थौ परधावितौ तयॊश च दरवतॊर विप्रं जगृहे नृपतिर बलात ॥ १-१७३-९ ॥

sanskrit

'Alarmed at the sight of the monarch, the couple ran away, their desire ungratified. However, the king pursued the retreating pair and forcibly seized the Brahmana.' ॥ 1-173-9 ॥

english translation

tau samIkSya tu vitrastAva akRtArthau paradhAvitau tayòza ca daravatòra vipraM jagRhe nRpatira balAta ॥ 1-173-9 ॥
