आदित्यवंशप्रभवस तवं हि लॊकपरिश्रुतः अप्रमत्तः सथितॊ धर्मे गुरुशुश्रूषणे रतः ॥ १-१७३-११ ॥
'O monarch of excellent vows! Your lineage from the solar race is renowned throughout the world. It is widely known that you are vigilant in upholding morality and devoted to serving your superiors.' ॥ 1-173-11 ॥
english translation
शापं पराप्तॊ ऽसि दुर्धर्षे न पापं कर्तुम अर्हसि ऋतुकाले तु संप्राप्ते भर्त्रास्म्य अद्य समागता ॥ १-१७३-१२ ॥
'You should refrain from sinning, O unstoppable one, even though you have been deprived of your senses by the Rishi's curse. My time has come, and desiring my husband's company, I united with him.' ॥ 1-173-12 ॥
english translation
अकृतार्था हय अहं भर्त्रा परसवार्थश च मे महान परसीद नृपतिश्रेष्ठ भर्ता मे ऽयं विसृज्यताम ॥ १-१७३-१३ ॥
'I have not yet been satisfied. Be gracious to us, O best of kings! Please release my husband.' ॥ 1-173-13 ॥

एवं विक्रॊशमानायास तस्याः स सुनृशंसकृत भर्तारं भक्षयाम आस वयाघॊर मृगम इवेप्सितम ॥ १-१७३-१४ ॥
'The monarch, heedless of her cries, ruthlessly devoured her husband, akin to a tiger consuming its coveted prey.' ॥ 1-173-14 ॥

तस्याः करॊधाभिभूताया यद अश्रुन्यपतद भुवि सॊ ऽगनिः समभवद दीप्तस तं च देशं वयदीपयत ॥ १-१७३-१५ ॥
'Enraged by her plight, when her tears fell upon the ground, they turned into fire, blazing fiercely and illuminating the entire area.' ॥ 1-173-15 ॥
