स तु राजा महात्मानं वासिष्ठम ऋषिसात्तमम तृषार्तश च कषुधार्तश च एकायनगतः पथि ॥ १-१६६-३ ॥

'As the monarch, afflicted with hunger and thirst, made his way through the woods, he encountered the illustrious son of Vasishtha, that most revered of Rishis, traveling along the same path.' ॥ 1-166-3 ॥
