अर्घ्य माल्यॊपहारैश च शश्वच च नृपतिर यतः नियमैर उपवासैश च तपॊभिर विविधैर अपि ॥ १-१६०-१३ ॥
'During that period, O son of Kunti, the powerful king Samvarana, the son of Riksha, and the foremost among the Kurus, was diligently worshiping the sun with offerings of Arghya, flower garlands, and fragrances, along with observing vows, fasts, and various kinds of ascetic penances.' ॥ 1-160-13 ॥
