[दरुपद] नाश्रॊत्रियः शरॊत्रियस्य नारथी रथिनः सखा नाराजा पार्थिवस्यापि सखिपूर्वं किम इष्यते ।। १-१५४-१५ ।।

sanskrit

'Upon hearing this, Drupada responded, "One of low birth can never befriend one of pure lineage. A non-warrior cannot be friends with a warrior. And one who is not a king cannot befriend a king. Why then do you desire to revive our former friendship?"' ।। 1-154-15 ।।

english translation

[darupada] nAzròtriyaH zaròtriyasya nArathI rathinaH sakhA nArAjA pArthivasyApi sakhipUrvaM kima iSyate || 1-154-15 ||
