ततस ते विस्मिताः सर्वे कर्म दृष्ट्वातिमानुषम दैवतान्य अर्चयां चक्रुः सर्व एव विशां पते ॥ १-१५२-११ ॥
'They were all amazed at witnessing such a superhuman feat. Instantly, O monarch, they began to pray to their Gods.' ॥ 1-152-11 ॥
english translation
ततः परगणयाम आसुः कस्य वारॊ ऽदय भॊजने जञात्वा चागम्य तं विप्रं पप्रच्छुः सर्व एत तत ॥ १-१५२-१२ ॥
'Then they started to calculate whose turn it had been the day before to carry food to the Rakshasa. Discovering this, they all came to the Brahmana and asked him to satisfy their curiosity.' ॥ 1-152-12 ॥
english translation
एवं पृष्टस तु बहुशॊ रक्षमाणश च पाण्डवान उवाच नागरान सर्वान इदं विप्रर्षभस तदा ॥ १-१५२-१३ ॥
'Repeatedly questioned by them, that bull among Brahmanas, desirous of concealing the Pandavas, said to all the citizens.' ॥ 1-152-13 ॥

आज्ञापितं माम अशने रुदन्तं सह बन्धुभिः ददर्श बराह्मणः कश चिन मन्त्रसिद्धॊ महाबलः ॥ १-१५२-१४ ॥
'A certain high-souled Brahmana, skilled in mantras, saw me weeping with my relatives after I had been ordered to supply the Rakshasa's food.' ॥ 1-152-14 ॥

परिपृच्छ्य स मां पूर्वं परिक्लेशं पुरस्य च अब्रवीद बराह्मणश्रेष्ठ आश्वास्य परहसन्न इव ॥ १-१५२-१५ ॥
'Asking me the cause and understanding the distress of the town, that foremost of Brahmanas gave me every assurance and with a smile said.' ॥ 1-152-15 ॥
