ततॊ भिमस तम आदाय गतासुं पुरुषादकम दवारदेशे विनिक्षिप्य जगामानुपलक्षितः ॥ १-१५२-६ ॥
'Bhima then dragged the lifeless cannibal and placed him at one of the town's gates, leaving unnoticed. The kinsmen of Vaka, seeing him slain by Bhima's might, were frightened and fled in different directions.' ॥ 1-152-6 ॥
english translation
tatò bhimasa tama AdAya gatAsuM puruSAdakama davAradeze vinikSipya jagAmAnupalakSitaH ॥ 1-152-6 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptततः स भीमस तं हत्वा गत्वा बराह्मण वेश्म तत आचचक्षे यथावृत्तं राज्ञः सर्वम अशेषतः ॥ १-१५२-७ ॥
'Meanwhile, Bhima, having slain the Rakshasa, returned to the Brahmana's abode and related to Yudhishthira all that had happened in detail.' ॥ 1-152-7 ॥

tataH sa bhImasa taM hatvA gatvA barAhmaNa vezma tata AcacakSe yathAvRttaM rAjJaH sarvama azeSataH ॥ 1-152-7 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptततॊ नरा विनिष्क्रान्ता नगरात काल्यम एव तु ददृशुर निहतं भूमौ राक्षसं रुधिरॊक्षितम ॥ १-१५२-८ ॥
'The next morning, the inhabitants of the town came out and saw the Rakshasa lying dead on the ground, his body covered with blood.' ॥ 1-152-8 ॥

tatò narA viniSkrAntA nagarAta kAlyama eva tu dadRzura nihataM bhUmau rAkSasaM rudhiròkSitama ॥ 1-152-8 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतम अद्रिकूटसदृशं विनिकीर्णं भयावहम एकचक्रां ततॊ गत्वा परवृत्तिं परददुः परे ॥ १-१५२-९ ॥
'Beholding that terrible cannibal, huge as a mountain cliff, mangled and lying on the ground, the hair of the spectators stood on end. Returning to Ekachakra, they quickly spread the news.' ॥ 1-152-9 ॥

tama adrikUTasadRzaM vinikIrNaM bhayAvahama ekacakrAM tatò gatvA paravRttiM paradaduH pare ॥ 1-152-9 ॥

'O king, the citizens, by the thousands, accompanied by their wives, young and old, all began to come to the spot to behold Vaka.' ॥ 1-152-10 ॥
