ततः स तृणम आदाय परहृष्टः पुनर अब्रवीत अनेन तं हनिष्यामि राक्षसं पुरुषादकम ॥ १-१४७-२२ ॥
'With a smile, the child approached each of them, and finally, picking up a blade of grass, exclaimed cheerfully, "With this, I will slay the man-eating Rakshasa!"' ॥ 1-147-22 ॥

तथापि तेषां दुःखेन परीतानां निशम्य तत बालस्य वाक्यम अव्यक्तं हर्षः समभवन महान ॥ १-१४७-२३ ॥
'Despite being overwhelmed by sorrow, upon hearing the child's sweet words, joy began to shine on their faces.' ॥ 1-147-23 ॥

अयं काल इति जञात्वा कुन्ती समुपसृत्य तान गतासून अमृतेनेव जीवयन्तीदम अब्रवीत ॥ १-१४७-२४ ॥
'Seizing the moment, Kunti approached the assembly and spoke these words, her utterance acting as a restorative, akin to nectar reviving the lifeless.' ॥ 1-147-24 ॥
