निःसंशयॊ वधः पुंसां सत्रीणां संशयितॊ वधः अतॊ माम एव धर्मज्ञ परस्थापयितुम अर्हसि ॥ १-१४६-३० ॥

sanskrit

'Therefore, while it is certain that a Rakshasa will kill a man, it is doubtful whether he will kill a woman. Therefore, being knowledgeable about moral principles, it is your duty to offer me to the Rakshasa.' ॥ 1-146-30 ॥

english translation

niHsaMzayò vadhaH puMsAM satrINAM saMzayitò vadhaH atò mAma eva dharmajJa parasthApayituma arhasi ॥ 1-146-30 ॥
