एकतॊ वा कुलं कृत्स्नम आत्मा वा कुलवर्धन न समं सर्वम एवेति बुधानाम एष निश्चयः ॥ १-१४६-२७ ॥
'The wise have proclaimed that a person acquires a wife, son, wealth, and home to protect against both anticipated and unanticipated adversities. They have also declared that even all of one's relations when compared to one's self, cannot be considered equal.' ॥ 1-146-27 ॥
