[आर्ज] किम अनेन चिरं भीम जीवता पापरक्षसा गन्तव्यं नचिरं सथातुम इह शक्यम अरिंदम ॥ १-१४२-२१ ॥
'Arjuna urged Bhima to act swiftly, questioning the purpose of prolonging the life of the sinful demon and reminding him that they could not afford to linger in that place for much longer.' ॥ 1-142-21 ॥

पुरा संरज्यते पराची पुरा संध्या परवर्तते रौद्रे मुहूर्ते रक्षांसि परबलानि भवन्ति च ॥ १-१४२-२२ ॥
'Arjuna warned Bhima that they must act quickly, as the night was nearing its end and the evening twilight was approaching, a time when the demons would grow significantly stronger.' ॥ 1-142-22 ॥

तवरस्व भीम मा करीड जहि रक्षॊ विभीषणम पुरा विकुरुते मायां भुजयॊः सारम अर्पय ॥ १-१४२-२३ ॥
'Urging Bhima to swiftly defeat the formidable demon, Arjuna warned him not to underestimate their foe and to strike with the full might of his powerful arms before the demon could resort to magical illusions.' ॥ 1-142-23 ॥

[वै] अर्जुनेनैवम उक्तस तु भीमॊ भीमस्य रक्षसः उत्क्षिप्याभ्रामयद देहं तूर्णं गुणशताधिकम ॥ १-१४२-२४ ॥
'Vaisampayana continued, "At Arjuna's urging, the mighty Bhima wasted no time in grasping the frightening demon's body, hoisting it up, and rapidly whirling it around in the air more than a hundred times."' ॥ 1-142-24 ॥

[भम] वृथा मांसैर वृथा पुष्टॊ वृथा वृद्धॊ वृथा मतिः वृथा मरणम अर्हस तवं वृथाद्य न भविष्यसि ॥ १-१४२-२५ ॥
'As he whirled the demon's body around, Bhima taunted his foe, declaring that the demon's strength, size, age, and intelligence were all futile, and that he would meet a meaningless death, ceasing to exist in vain that very day.' ॥ 1-142-25 ॥
