दशरात्रॊषितानां तु तत्र तेषां पुरॊचनः निवेदयाम आस गृहं शिवाख्यम अशिवं तदा ॥ १-१३४-११ ॥
'After the Pandavas had resided there for ten nights, Purochana addressed them about the mansion he had constructed, naming it 'Shiva' though in truth, it was a cursed dwelling.' ॥ 1-134-11 ॥
english translation
तत्र ते पुरुषव्याघ्रा विविशुः सपरिच्छदाः पुरॊचनस्य वचनात कैलासम इव गुह्यकाः ॥ १-१३४-१२ ॥
'Then, adorned in opulent attire, those heroic men entered the mansion as directed by Purochana, akin to Guhyakas entering the palace of Lord Shiva on Mount Kailash.' ॥ 1-134-12 ॥

तत तव अगारम अभिप्रेक्ष्य सर्वधर्मविशारदः उवाचाग्नेयम इत्य एवं भीमसेनं युधिष्ठिरः जिघ्रन सॊम्य वसा गन्धं सर्पिर जतु विमिश्रितम ॥ १-१३४-१३ ॥
'Observing the building, the proficient in all duties, Yudhishthira, said to Bhimasena, "O gentle one, this place smells like ghee mixed with serpent's poison."' ॥ 1-134-13 ॥
english translation
कृतं हि वयक्तम आग्नेयम इदं वेश्म परंतप शणसर्जरसं वयक्तम आनीतं गृहकर्मणि मुञ्ज बल्वज वंशादि दरव्यं सर्वं घृतॊक्षितम ॥ १-१३४-१४ ॥
'Truly, it seems so! Evidently, the adversary meticulously crafted this mansion with the help of skilled artisans in house construction. They must have acquired hemp, resin, heath, straw, and bamboo, all saturated in clarified butter, for the task.' ॥ 1-134-14 ॥

शिल्पिभिः सुकृतं हय आप्तैर विनीतैर वेश्म कर्मणि विश्वस्तं माम अयं पापॊ दग्धकामः पुरॊचनः ॥ १-१३४-१५ ॥
'This vile schemer, Purochana, acting under Duryodhana's orders, remains here with the intention of burning me alive when he sees me unsuspecting.' ॥ 1-134-15 ॥
