इमां तु तां महाबुद्धिर विदुरॊ दृष्टवांस तदा इमां तु तां महाबुद्धिर विदुरॊ दृष्टवान पुरा ॥ १-१३४-१६ ॥
'But, O son of Pritha, Vidura of great wisdom, was aware of this peril and thus forewarned me in advance.' ॥ 1-134-16 ॥

ते वयं बॊधितास तेन बुद्धवन्तॊ ऽशिवं गृहम आचार्यैः सुकृतं गूढैर दुर्यॊधन वशानुगैः ॥ १-१३४-१७ ॥
'We were enlightened by him, wise as he is, about the inauspicious nature of the house, which was made to appear auspicious by Duryodhana's obedient artisans, working under the direction of the teacher.' ॥ 1-134-17 ॥

[भम] यद इदं गृहम आग्नेयं विहितं मन्यते भवान तत्रैव साधु गच्छामॊ यत्र पूर्वॊषिता वयम ॥ १-१३४-१८ ॥
'Upon hearing this, Bhima responded, "If, sir, you are aware of the flammability of this house, then it would be prudent for us to return to where we had initially lodged.' ॥ 1-134-18 ॥

[य] इह यत तैर निराकारैर वस्तव्यम इति रॊचये नष्टैर इव विचिन्वद्भिर गतिम इष्टां धरुवाम इतः ॥ १-१३४-१९ ॥
'Yudhishthira responded, "It appears to me that we should remain here, maintaining an appearance of unsuspecting, while keeping our senses alert and actively seeking a definite means of escape."' ॥ 1-134-19 ॥

यदि विन्देत चाकारम अस्माकं हि पुरॊचनः शीघ्रकारी ततॊ भूत्वा परसह्यापि दहेत नः ॥ १-१३४-२० ॥
'If Purochana discovers our plan, being quick in action, he will surely set fire even to another's house to consume us," answered Yudhishthira.' ॥ 1-134-20 ॥
