ततॊ विरहितं दृष्ट्वा पितरं परतिपूज्य सः पौरानुराग संतप्तः पश्चाद इदम अभाषत ।। १-१२९-११ ।।

'Duryodhana, upon encountering Dhritarashtra alone, greeted him with respect. Distressed by the citizens' favoritism towards Yudhishthira.' ।। 1-129-11 ।।

'Addressing the king, he said, "O father, I have heard unsettling words from the departing citizens. They disregard you and Bhishma, desiring the son of Pandu to be their king."' ।। 1-129-12 ।।
