तस्यां भूमौ बलिं चक्रे तिथौ नक्षत्रपूजिते अवघुष्टं पुरे चापि तदर्थं वदतां वर ।। १-१२४-९ ।।

'Drona, the foremost among eloquent men, performed a sacrificial ritual on the measured-out land on a lunar day when the auspicious star was ascendant. This ceremony was conducted in the presence of assembled citizens who had been gathered to witness it through proclamation.' ।। 1-124-9 ।।

tasyAM bhUmau baliM cakre tithau nakSatrapUjite avaghuSTaM pure cApi tadarthaM vadatAM vara || 1-124-9 ||
