स तु दरॊणस्य शिरसा पादौ गृह्य परंतपः अरण्यम अनुसंप्राप्तः कृत्वा दरॊणं मही मयम ।। १-१२३-१२ ।।

sanskrit

'But, O oppressor of all enemies, the Nishada prince Ekalavya, after bowing to Drona and touching his feet with a bent head, made his way into the forest. There, he fashioned a clay image of Drona and worshipped it reverently, as if it were his real preceptor.' ।। 1-123-12 ।।

english translation

sa tu daròNasya zirasA pAdau gRhya paraMtapaH araNyama anusaMprAptaH kRtvA daròNaM mahI mayama || 1-123-12 ||
