दिवसान्ते परिश्रान्ता विहृत्य च कुरूद्वहाः विहारावसथेष्व एव वीरा वासम अरॊचयन ।। १-११९-३१ ।।

'At the end of the day, the Kurus, having enjoyed leisurely outings, returned to their dwellings, feeling rejuvenated and content.' ।। 1-119-31 ।।

english translation

divasAnte parizrAntA vihRtya ca kurUdvahAH vihArAvasatheSva eva vIrA vAsama aròcayana || 1-119-31 ||

hk transliteration

खिन्नस तु बलवान भीमॊ वयायामाभ्यधिकस तदा वाहयित्वा कुमारांस ताञ जलक्रीडा गतान विभुः परमाण कॊट्यां वासार्थी सुष्वापारुह्य तत सथलम ।। १-११९-३२ ।।

sanskrit

'But Bhima, feeling disheartened, sought more vigorous exercise. Carrying the young princes on his shoulders, the mighty one left for a water play, ultimately reaching the destination of Pramanakoti.' ।। 1-119-32 ।।

english translation

khinnasa tu balavAna bhImò vayAyAmAbhyadhikasa tadA vAhayitvA kumArAMsa tAJa jalakrIDA gatAna vibhuH paramANa kòTyAM vAsArthI suSvApAruhya tata sathalama || 1-119-32 ||

hk transliteration

शीतं वासं समासाद्य शरान्तॊ मदविमॊहितः निश्चेष्टः पाण्डवॊ राजन सुष्वाप मृतकल्पवत ।। १-११९-३३ ।।

sanskrit

'Having donned cold clothing, exhausted and intoxicated by the wine, the Pandava prince lay down like a dead person, devoid of movement.' ।। 1-119-33 ।।

english translation

zItaM vAsaM samAsAdya zarAntò madavimòhitaH nizceSTaH pANDavò rAjana suSvApa mRtakalpavata || 1-119-33 ||

ततॊ बद्ध्वा लता पाशैर भीमं दुर्यॊधनः शनैः गम्भीरं भीमवेगं च सथलाज जलम अपातयत ।। १-११९-३४ ।।

sanskrit

'Thereafter, Duryodhana slowly bound Bhima with ropes while he lay in deep slumber, and with great effort, he pushed him into the deep waters of the lake.' ।। 1-119-34 ।।

tatò baddhvA latA pAzaira bhImaM duryòdhanaH zanaiH gambhIraM bhImavegaM ca sathalAja jalama apAtayata || 1-119-34 ||

ततः परबुद्धः कौन्तेयः सर्वं संछिद्य बन्धनम उदतिष्ठज जलाद भूयॊ भीमः परहरतां वरः ।। १-११९-३५ ।।

sanskrit

'Then, the wise son of Kunti, realizing the situation, swiftly cut through all the bonds, and Bhima, the best of warriors, emerged from the water.' ।। 1-119-35 ।।

tataH parabuddhaH kaunteyaH sarvaM saMchidya bandhanama udatiSThaja jalAda bhUyò bhImaH paraharatAM varaH || 1-119-35 ||
