अयं बलवतां शरेष्ठः कुन्तीपुत्रॊ वृकॊदरः मध्यमः पाण्डुपुत्राणां निकृत्या संनिहन्यताम ॥ १-११९-२६ ॥
'He pondered, "There's no one who can match Bhima, the second son of Pandu, in terms of strength. I must devise a plan to defeat him."' ॥ 1-119-26 ॥
english translation
अथ तस्माद अवरजं जयेष्ठं चैव युधिष्ठिरम परसह्य बन्धने बद्ध्वा परशासिष्ये वसुंधराम ॥ १-११९-२७ ॥
'So, having restrained the younger one, Bhima, and the eldest, Yudhishthira, by his cunning devices, he intended to dominate the earth.' ॥ 1-119-27 ॥
english translation
एवं स निश्चयं पापः कृत्वा दुर्यॊधनस तदा नित्यम एवान्तर परेक्षी भीमस्यासीन महात्मनः ॥ १-११९-२८ ॥
'Determined thus, the wicked Duryodhana was ever on the watch to find out an opportunity for injuring Bhima.' ॥ 1-119-28 ॥

ततॊ जलविहारार्थं कारयाम आस भारत चेल कम्बलवेश्मानि विचित्राणि महान्ति च ॥ १-११९-२९ ॥
'O Bharata, after that, at a beautiful location known as Pramanakoti on the banks of the Ganga, he constructed a palace adorned with curtains made of broad-cloth and other luxurious fabrics.' ॥ 1-119-29 ॥

परमाण कॊट्याम उद्देशं सथलं किं चिद उपेत्य च करीडावसाने सर्वे ते शुचि वस्त्राः सवलंकृताः सर्वकामसमृद्धं तदन्नं बुभुजिरे शनैः ॥ १-११९-३० ॥
'After reaching the destination of Pramanakoti, where a certain spot was chosen, they all enjoyed completing their water sports. They were adorned in clean garments, embellished with ornaments, and gradually partook of the sumptuous feast, fulfilling all their desires.' ॥ 1-119-30 ॥
