एष धर्मभृतां शरेष्ठॊ भविष्यति न संशयः युधिष्ठिर इति खयातः पाण्डॊः परथमजः सुतः ॥ १-११४-६ ॥
'This child shall excel as the paragon of humanity, the pinnacle of virtue. Endowed with immense strength and unwavering honesty, he will undoubtedly reign over the earth. This eldest son of Pandu shall be renowned as Yudhishthira.' ॥ 1-114-6 ॥
english translation
भविता परथितॊ राजा तरिषु लॊकेषु विश्रुतः यशसा तेजसा चैव वृत्तेन च समन्वितः ॥ १-११४-७ ॥
'Possessed of prowess and honesty of disposition, he shall be a famous king, known throughout the three worlds.' ॥ 1-114-7 ॥

धार्मिकं तं सुतं लब्ध्वा पाण्डुस तां पुनर अब्रवीत पराहुः कषत्रं बलज्येष्ठं बलज्येष्ठं सुतं वृणु ॥ १-११४-८ ॥
'Having acquired this virtuous son, Pandu spoke to his wife once more, saying, "The wise proclaim that a Kshatriya must possess physical prowess; otherwise, he is not truly a Kshatriya."' ॥ 1-114-8 ॥

ततस तथॊक्ता पत्या तु वायुम एवाजुहाव सा तस्माज जज्ञे महाबाहुर भीमॊ भीमपराक्रमः ॥ १-११४-९ ॥
'With a modest smile, she addressed him, saying, "Grant me, O greatest of celestial beings, a child blessed with immense strength, robust physique, and the ability to humble the arrogance of all." Responding to her plea, the wind god then begot upon her the child who would later be known as Bhima, possessing mighty arms and formidable valor.' ॥ 1-114-9 ॥

तम अप्य अतिबलं जातं वाग अभ्यवदद अच्युतम सर्वेषां बलिनां शरेष्ठॊ जातॊ ऽयम इति भारत ॥ १-११४-१० ॥
'Having obtained that exceedingly strong son, she addressed the infallible one (Krishna), saying, "The best among all-powerful beings, born is this one."' ॥ 1-114-10 ॥
