एककालं चरन भैक्षं कुलानि दवे च पञ्च च असंभवे वा भैक्षस्य चरन्न अनशनान्य अपि ॥ १-११०-१२ ॥
'On the contrary, I will maintain equal treatment towards everyone, as if they were my own children. I will beg from five or ten families at most once a day, and if I am unable to obtain alms. I shall then go without food. ' ॥ 1-110-12 ॥
