अल्पम अल्पं यथा भॊज्यं पूर्वलाभेन जातुचित नित्यं नातिचरँल लाभे अलाभे सप्त पूरयन ॥ १-११०-१३ ॥

sanskrit

'I would rather limit my needs than ask from the same person more than once. If I don't receive anything after visiting seven or ten houses, I will not extend my rounds due to greed.' ॥ 1-110-13 ॥

english translation

alpama alpaM yathA bhòjyaM pUrvalAbhena jAtucita nityaM nAticara~la lAbhe alAbhe sapta pUrayana ॥ 1-110-13 ॥
