मृगॊ भूत्वा मृगैः सार्धं चरामि गहने वने न तु ते बरह्महत्येयं भविष्यत्य अविजानतः मृगरूपधरं हत्वा माम एवं काममॊहितम ॥ १-१०९-२७ ॥
'Becoming a deer, I roam the dense forest along with other deer. However, you, unaware, will not incur the sin of killing a Brahmin. Having killed me while I was in the form of a deer, you acted out of lust.' ॥ 1-109-27 ॥
