स वर्धामानॊ बलवान सर्वास्त्रेषूद्यतॊ ऽभवत आ पृष्ठतापाद आदित्यम उपतस्थे स वीर्यवान ॥ १-१०४-१६ ॥
'Endowed from birth with immense strength, he developed proficiency in all manner of weapons as he matured. Filled with vigorous energy, he devoted himself to worshiping the sun, standing until the sun's rays warmed his back from dawn until noon.' ॥ 1-104-16 ॥
