दानक्रिया धर्मशीला यज्ञव्रतपरायणाः अन्यॊन्यप्रीतिसंयुक्ता वयवर्धन्त परजास तदा ॥ १-१०२-६ ॥
'Engaged in charitable activities, devout in their adherence to righteousness, and dedicated to rituals and vows, the people fostered mutual affection and thus prospered.' ॥ 1-102-6 ॥

मानक्रॊधविहीनाश च जना लॊभविवर्जिताः अन्यॊन्यम अभ्यवर्धन्त धर्मॊत्तरम अवर्तत ॥ १-१०२-७ ॥
'Free from pride and anger, and devoid of greed, the people uplifted one another, fostering an era increasingly guided by righteousness.' ॥ 1-102-7 ॥

तन महॊदधिवत पूर्णं नगरं वै वयरॊचत दवारतॊरण निर्यूहैर युक्तम अभ्रचयॊपमैः परासादशतसंबाधं महेन्द्र पुरसंनिभम ॥ १-१०२-८ ॥
'That city, brimming like a great ocean, shone resplendently with gateways and archways resembling cloud formations, and crowded with hundreds of palaces, resembling the city of Indra in its grandeur.' ॥ 1-102-8 ॥

नदीषु वनखण्डेषु वापी पल्वल सानुषु काननेषु च रम्येषु विजह्रुर मुदिता जनाः ॥ १-१०२-९ ॥
'Men enjoyed themselves cheerfully, engaging in constant recreation on rivers, lakes, ponds, and amidst delightful groves and enchanting forests.' ॥ 1-102-9 ॥

उत्तरैः कुरुभिर सार्धं दक्षिणाः कुरवस तदा विस्पर्धमाना वयचरंस तथा सिद्धर्षिचारणैः नाभवत कृपणः कश चिन नाभवन विधवाः सत्रियः ॥ १-१०२-१० ॥
'In their virtuous competition with their northern counterparts, the southern Kurus were accompanied by Siddhas, Charanas, and Rishis. Throughout that delightful land, enriched by the prosperity brought by the Kurus, there were no misers or widowed women.' ॥ 1-102-10 ॥
