उत्तिष्ठन्न अब्रवीद एनाम अभुजिष्या भविष्यसि अयं च ते शुभे गर्भः शरीमान उदरम आगतः धर्मात्मा भविता लॊके सर्वबुद्धिमतां वरः ।। १-१००-२६ ।।

sanskrit

'Rising in the morning, the sage addressed her, "You shall bear a son who will become a great archer. This fetus in your auspicious womb will be endowed with a strong body. He will be virtuous and esteemed by all the wise in the world."' ।। 1-100-26 ।।

english translation

uttiSThanna abravIda enAma abhujiSyA bhaviSyasi ayaM ca te zubhe garbhaH zarImAna udarama AgataH dharmAtmA bhavitA lòke sarvabuddhimatAM varaH || 1-100-26 ||

'And, O king, the son thus begotten upon her by Krishna-Dwaipayana was afterward known by the name of Vidura. He was thus the brother of Dhritarashtra and the illustrious Pandu.' ।। 1-100-27 ।।

'And Vidura was free from desire and passion and was conversant with the rules of government, and was the god of justice born on earth under the curse of the illustrious Rishi Mandavya.' ।। 1-100-28 ।।
