ऋतुकाले ततॊ जयेष्ठां वधूं तस्मै नययॊजयत सा तु रूपं च गन्धं च महर्षेः परविचिन्त्य तम नाकरॊद वचनं देव्या भयात सुरसुतॊपमा ।। १-१००-२२ ।।

'Then, during the proper season, the eldest queen was presented to him. Reflecting upon the appearance and fragrance of the great sage, she, resembling the daughters of the gods in beauty, did not comply with the words of the queen out of fear.' ।। 1-100-22 ।।

english translation

RtukAle tatò jayeSThAM vadhUM tasmai nayayòjayata sA tu rUpaM ca gandhaM ca maharSeH paravicintya tama nAkaròda vacanaM devyA bhayAta surasutòpamA || 1-100-22 ||
