अलंकृतं शुभैः शब्दैः समयैर दिव्यमानुषैः छन्दॊ वृत्तैश च विविधैर अन्वितं विदुषां परियम ।। १-१-२६।।

'This profound knowledge is a jewel held by those with deep understanding, gracefully presented in both elaborate and succinct forms. It enchants the hearts of the wise, adorned with eloquent words, weaving together human and divine conversations, expressed through a tapestry of enchanting poetic styles.' ।। 1-1-26 ।।

alaMkRtaM zubhaiH zabdaiH samayaira divyamAnuSaiH chandò vRttaiza ca vividhaira anvitaM viduSAM pariyama || 1-1-26||

निष्प्रभे ऽसमिन निरालॊके सर्वतस तमसावृते बृहद अण्डम अभूद एकं परजानां बीजम अक्षयम ।। १-१-२७।।

'In this world, when it was destitute of brightness and light, and enveloped all around in total darkness, there came into being, as the primal cause of creation, a mighty egg, the one inexhaustible seed of all created beings.' ।। 1-1-27 ।।

niSprabhe 'samina nirAlòke sarvatasa tamasAvRte bRhada aNDama abhUda ekaM parajAnAM bIjama akSayama || 1-1-27||

युगस्यादौ निमित्तं तन महद दिव्यं परचक्षते यस्मिंस तच छरूयते सत्यं जयॊतिर बरह्म सनातनम ।। १-१-२८।।

'At the beginning of the cosmic cycle (Yuga), in which we are told, was the true light Brahma, the eternal one, the wonderful and inconceivable being present alike in all places.' ।। 1-1-28 ।।

yugasyAdau nimittaM tana mahada divyaM paracakSate yasmiMsa taca charUyate satyaM jayòtira barahma sanAtanama || 1-1-28||

अद्भुतं चाप्य अचिन्त्यं च सर्वत्र समतां गतम अव्यक्तं कारणं सूक्ष्मं यत तत सदसद आत्मकम ।। १-१-२९।।

'It's marvelous and beyond our understanding, ever-present and subtle. It's the unseen cause, woven into everything, encompassing both what is and what isn't' ।। 1-1-29 ।।

adbhutaM cApya acintyaM ca sarvatra samatAM gatama avyaktaM kAraNaM sUkSmaM yata tata sadasada Atmakama || 1-1-29||

यस्मात पितामहॊ जज्ञे परभुर एकः परजापतिः बरह्मा सुरगुरुः सथाणुर मनुः कः परमेष्ठ्य अथ ।। १-१-३०।।

'From this egg came out the lord Pitamaha Brahma, the one only Prajapati; with Suraguru and Sthanu.' ।। 1-1-30 ।।
