निग्रहानुग्रहौ चापि विदितौ ते नराधिप नात्यन्तम एवानुवृत्तिः शरूयते पुत्र रक्षणे ॥ १-१-१८५ ॥

'O noble leader, you possess a profound understanding of both firm discipline and compassionate benevolence. In the protection of your sons, maintaining a delicate balance between strictness and kindness is not only recommended but also imperative.'॥ 1-1-185 ॥

nigrahAnugrahau cApi viditau te narAdhipa nAtyantama evAnuvRttiH zarUyate putra rakSaNe ॥ 1-1-185 ॥
