यदाश्रौषं तरिदिवस्थं धनंजयं; शक्रात साक्षाद दिव्यम अस्त्रं यथावत अधीयानं शंसितं सत्यसंधं; तदा नाशंसे विजयाय संजय ॥ १-१-११० ॥
'When I heard that the just and renowned Arjuna after having been to the celestial regions, had there obtained celestial weapons from Indra himself then, O Sanjaya, I had no hope of success' ॥ 1-1-110 ॥
