[स] यथा सद्यः परपद्येत देवी गर्भं तथा कुरु अराजकेषु राष्ट्रेषु नास्ति वृष्टिर न देवताः ॥ १-९९-४० ॥

'Satyavati expressed, "Indeed, as you've advised, so it must be. Ensure the queens conceive without delay. In realms lacking a sovereign, inhabitants suffer from absence of guardianship; sacred rites and sacrifices cease; rain clouds withhold their bounty, and divinities vanish."' ॥ 1-99-40 ॥

[sa] yathA sadyaH parapadyeta devI garbhaM tathA kuru arAjakeSu rASTreSu nAsti vRSTira na devatAH ॥ 1-99-40 ॥
