सनुषा इव स धर्मात्मा भगिन्य इव चानुजाः यथा दुहितरश चैव परतिगृह्य ययौ कुरून ।। १-९६-४४ ।।

sanskrit

'The righteous Bhishma treated them as if they were his daughters, sisters, and younger siblings, accepting them with all due respect before proceeding to the land of the Kurus.' ।। 1-96-44 ।।

english translation

sanuSA iva sa dharmAtmA bhaginya iva cAnujAH yathA duhitaraza caiva paratigRhya yayau kurUna || 1-96-44 ||
