स कदा चिद वनं यातॊ यमुनाम अभितॊ नदीम महीपतिर अनिर्देश्यम आजिघ्रद गन्धम उत्तमम ॥ १-९४-४१ ॥

sanskrit

'Four years had thus passed away when the king one day went into the woods on the bank of the Yamuna. And while the king was rambling there, he perceived a sweet scent coming from an unknown direction.' ॥ 1-94-41 ॥

english translation

sa kadA cida vanaM yAtò yamunAma abhitò nadIma mahIpatira anirdezyama Ajighrada gandhama uttamama ॥ 1-94-41 ॥
