जातमात्रं पुरा दृष्टं तं पुत्रं शंतनुस तदा नॊपलेभे समृतिं धीमान अभिज्ञातुं तम आत्मजम ॥ १-९४-२६ ॥

'The wise Shantanu recognized his son, whom he had only seen once before, but he couldn't discern his destiny or recognize his son.' ॥ 1-94-26 ॥

jAtamAtraM purA dRSTaM taM putraM zaMtanusa tadA nòpalebhe samRtiM dhImAna abhijJAtuM tama Atmajama ॥ 1-94-26 ॥
