अथ तद वनम आजग्मुः कदा चिद भरतर्षभ पृथ्व आद्या वसवः सर्वे देवदेवर्षिसेवितम ॥ १-९३-११ ॥

'One day, O noble scion of Bharata's lineage, all the Vasus, revered by gods and celestial sages, arrived in those sacred woods, with Prithu leading them.' ॥ 1-93-11 ॥

english translation

atha tada vanama AjagmuH kadA cida bharatarSabha pRthva AdyA vasavaH sarve devadevarSisevitama ॥ 1-93-11 ॥

ते सदारा वनं तच च वयचरन्त समन्ततः रेमिरे रमणीयेषु पर्वतेषु वनेषु च ॥ १-९३-१२ ॥

'And wandering there with their wives, they enjoyed themselves in those delightful woods and mountains.' ॥ 1-93-12 ॥

te sadArA vanaM taca ca vayacaranta samantataH remire ramaNIyeSu parvateSu vaneSu ca ॥ 1-93-12 ॥

तत्रैकस्य तु भार्या वै वसॊर वासव विक्रम सा चरन्ती वने तस्मिन गां ददर्श सुमध्यमा या सा वसिष्ठस्य मुनेः सर्वकामधुग उत्तमा ॥ १-९३-१३ ॥

'While wandering in that forest, the wife of one of the Vasus, known for his valor, saw a cow of exquisite beauty. This cow, belonging to the sage Vasishtha, was capable of granting all desires.' ॥ 1-93-13 ॥

tatraikasya tu bhAryA vai vasòra vAsava vikrama sA carantI vane tasmina gAM dadarza sumadhyamA yA sA vasiSThasya muneH sarvakAmadhuga uttamA ॥ 1-93-13 ॥

सा विस्मयसमाविष्टा शीलद्रविण संपदा दिवे वै दर्शयाम आस तां गां गॊवृषभेक्षण ॥ १-९३-१४ ॥

'Overwhelmed with wonder, she, possessed of wealth and grace, showed that cow to her husband during the day, O bull-eyed one.' ॥ 1-93-14 ॥

sA vismayasamAviSTA zIladraviNa saMpadA dive vai darzayAma Asa tAM gAM gòvRSabhekSaNa ॥ 1-93-14 ॥

सवापीनां च सुदॊग्ध्रीं च सुवालधि मुखां शुभाम उपपन्नां गुणैः सर्वैः शीलेनानुत्तमेन च ॥ १-९३-१५ ॥

'She was well-endowed with all virtues and unparalleled in character, a cow that yielded plentiful milk, with a beautiful face and auspicious qualities.' ॥ 1-93-15 ॥
