महाभिषं तु तं दृष्ट्वा नदी धैर्याच चयुतं नृपम तम एव मनसाध्यायम उपावर्तत सरिद वरा ॥ १-९१-८
'Vaisampayana continued, 'King Mahabhisha then recollecting all the monarchs and ascetics on earth, wished to be born as son to Pratipa of great prowess. And the queen of rivers, too, seeing king Mahabhisha lose his firmness, went away, thinking of him wishfully.'' ॥ 1-91-8 ॥
