अथ पाण्डुर मृगयां चरन मैथुन गतम ऋषिम अपश्यन मृग्यां वर्तमानम तथैवाप्लुत मनासादित कामरसम अतृप्तं बाणेनाभिजघान ।। १-९०-६४ ।।

'Once while hunting, Pandu spotted a sage engaged in a sexual act with his wife in the form of a deer. Driven by desire and intoxicated with passion, he shot an arrow, mistakenly killing them both.' ।। 1-90-64 ।।

english translation

atha pANDura mRgayAM carana maithuna gatama RSima apazyana mRgyAM vartamAnama tathaivApluta manAsAdita kAmarasama atRptaM bANenAbhijaghAna || 1-90-64 ||
