अक्रॊधनः खलु कालिनीं करण्डुं नामॊपयेमे तस्याम अस्य जज्ञे देवातिथिः ॥ १-९०-२१ ॥
'Akrodhana married Karambha, the daughter of the king of Kalinga, and they had a son named Devatithi.' ॥ 1-90-21 ॥

देवातिथिः खलु वैदेहीम उपयेमे मर्यादां नाम तस्याम अस्य जज्ञे ऋचः ॥ १-९०-२२ ॥
'Devatithi took for his wife Maryada, the princess of Videha. And of her was born a son named Arihan.' ॥ 1-90-22 ॥

ऋचः खल्व आङ्गेयीम उपयेमे सुदेवां नाम तस्यां पुत्रम अजनयद ऋक्षम ॥ १-९०-२३ ॥
'And Arihan took to wife Sudeva, the princess of Anga, and upon her he begat a son named Riksha.' ॥ 1-90-23 ॥

ऋक्षः खलु तक्षक दुहितरम उपयेमे जवालां नाम तस्यां पुत्रं मतिनारं नामॊत्पादयाम आस ॥ १-९०-२४ ॥
'And Riksha married Jwala, the daughter of Takshaka, and he begat upon her a son namedMatinara.' ॥ 1-90-24 ॥

मतिनारः खलु सरस्वत्यां दवादश वार्षिकं सत्रम आजहार ॥ १-९०-२५ ॥
'Matinara, who conducted a twelve-year-long sacrifice on the banks of the Saraswati River, renowned for its efficacy.' ॥ 1-90-25 ॥
