किं तु लघ्व अर्थसंयुक्तं परियाख्यानं न माम अति परीणात्य अतॊ भवान भूयॊ विस्तरेण बरवीतु मे ।। १-९०-२ ।।

sanskrit

'But I have not been gratified, this charming account being so short. Therefore, be pleased, O Brahmana, to recite the delightful narrative just in detail commencing from Manu, the lord of creation.' ।। 1-90-2 ।।

english translation

kiM tu laghva arthasaMyuktaM pariyAkhyAnaM na mAma ati parINAtya atò bhavAna bhUyò vistareNa baravItu me || 1-90-2 ||
