[देव] यद्य एतद एवं शर्मिष्ठे न मनुर विद्यते मम अपत्यं यदि ते लब्धं जयेष्ठाच छरेष्ठाच च वै दविजात ॥ १-७८-७ ॥
'Devayani responded, "Seeing the truth in what you say if indeed you have received your child from such a distinguished Brahmana, then, O Sarmishtha, I have no reason to be upset."' ॥ 1-78-7 ॥
