ततॊ ऽसय नाम चक्रुस ते कण्वाश्रमनिवासिनः अस्त्व अयं सर्वदमनः सर्वं हि दमयत्य अयम ॥ १-६८-७ ॥
'Following this, the residents of Kanva's hermitage gave him the name "Sarvadamana," signifying that he possessed an unconquerable mind, as he had the ability to subdue everything.' ॥ 1-68-7 ॥
