कषत्रियस्य हि गान्धर्वॊ विवाहः शरेष्ठ उच्यते सकामायाः सकामेन निर्मन्त्रॊ रहसि समृतः ॥ १-६७-२६ ॥
'Indeed, it is said that for Kshatriyas, the Gandharva form of union, where a willing woman and a desirous man come together without any rituals or mantras, is regarded as the most appropriate.' ॥ 1-67-26 ॥
english translation
kaSatriyasya hi gAndharvò vivAhaH zareSTha ucyate sakAmAyAH sakAmena nirmantrò rahasi samRtaH ॥ 1-67-26 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptधर्मात्मा च महात्मा च दुःषन्तः पुरुषॊत्तमः अभ्यगच्छः पतिं यं तवं भजमानं शकुन्तले ॥ १-६७-२७ ॥
'Dushmanta, the finest among men, is both noble and righteous. O Shakuntala, you have chosen him as your husband.' ॥ 1-67-27 ॥
english translation
dharmAtmA ca mahAtmA ca duHSantaH puruSòttamaH abhyagacchaH patiM yaM tavaM bhajamAnaM zakuntale ॥ 1-67-27 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptमहात्मा जनिता लॊके पुत्रस तव महाबलः य इमां सागरापाङ्गां कृत्स्नां भॊक्ष्यति मेदिनीम ॥ १-६७-२८ ॥
'The son that shall be born of thee shall be mighty and illustrious in this world. And he shall have sway over the sea.' ॥ 1-67-28 ॥
english translation
mahAtmA janitA lòke putrasa tava mahAbalaH ya imAM sAgarApAGgAM kRtsnAM bhòkSyati medinIma ॥ 1-67-28 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptपरं चाभिप्रयातस्य चक्रं तस्य महात्मनः भविष्यत्य अप्रतिहतं सततं चक्रवर्तिनः ॥ १-६७-२९ ॥
'And beyond, for that great-souled one who has set out on a quest, there will arise an invincible wheel, perpetually turning, establishing him as an unopposed and eternal emperor.' ॥ 1-67-29 ॥
english translation
paraM cAbhiprayAtasya cakraM tasya mahAtmanaH bhaviSyatya apratihataM satataM cakravartinaH ॥ 1-67-29 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptततः परक्षाल्य पादौ सा विश्रान्तं मुनिम अब्रवीत विनिधाय ततॊ भारं संनिधाय फलानि च ॥ १-६७-३० ॥
'Sakuntala then approached her fatigued father and washed his feet. And taking down the load he had with him and placing the fruits in proper order.' ॥ 1-67-30 ॥

tataH parakSAlya pAdau sA vizrAntaM munima abravIta vinidhAya tatò bhAraM saMnidhAya phalAni ca ॥ 1-67-30 ॥
