शक्रॊपमम अमित्रघ्नं परवारणवारणम पश्यन्तः सत्रीगणास तत्र शस्त्रपाणिं सम मेनिरे ॥ १-६३-६ ॥
'And the ladies saw that he was like unto Sakra, the slayer of his enemies, capable of repulsing the elephants of foes--And they believed that he was the wielder of the thunderbolt himself.' ॥ 1-63-6 ॥
english translation
zakròpamama amitraghnaM paravAraNavAraNama pazyantaH satrIgaNAsa tatra zastrapANiM sama menire ॥ 1-63-6 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअयं स पुरुषव्याघ्रॊ रणे ऽदभुतपराक्रमः यस्य बाहुबलं पराप्य न भवन्त्य असुहृद्गणाः ॥ १-६३-७ ॥
'And they said, 'This is that tiger among men who in battle is equal unto the Vasus in prowess, and in consequence of the might of whose arms no foes are left.' ॥ 1-63-7 ॥
english translation
ayaM sa puruSavyAghrò raNe 'dabhutaparAkramaH yasya bAhubalaM parApya na bhavantya asuhRdgaNAH ॥ 1-63-7 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptइति वाचॊ बरुवन्त्यस ताः सत्रियः परेम्णा नराधिपम तुष्टुवुः पुष्पवृष्टीश च ससृजुस तस्य मूधनि ॥ १-६३-८ ॥
'And saying this, the ladies from affection gratified the monarch by showering flowers on his head.' ॥ 1-63-8 ॥
english translation
iti vAcò baruvantyasa tAH satriyaH paremNA narAdhipama tuSTuvuH puSpavRSTIza ca sasRjusa tasya mUdhani ॥ 1-63-8 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतत्र तत्र च विप्रेन्द्रैः सतूयमानः समन्ततः निर्ययौ परया परीत्या वनं मृगजिघांसया ॥ १-६३-९ ॥
'And followed by foremost of Brahmanas uttering blessings all the way, the king in great gladness of heart went towards the forest, eager for slaying the deer.' ॥ 1-63-9 ॥
english translation
tatra tatra ca viprendraiH satUyamAnaH samantataH niryayau parayA parItyA vanaM mRgajighAMsayA ॥ 1-63-9 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसुदूरम अनुजग्मुस तं पौरजानपदास तदा नयवर्तन्त ततः पश्चाद अनुज्ञाता नृपेण ह ॥ १-६३-१० ॥
'Numerous Brahmanas, Kshatriyas, Vaisyas, and Sudras, akin to the celestial king atop a majestic elephant, trailed behind the monarch. The citizens and other societal groups accompanied the king for a considerable distance, ultimately halting their march as per the king's directive.' ॥ 1-63-10 ॥

sudUrama anujagmusa taM paurajAnapadAsa tadA nayavartanta tataH pazcAda anujJAtA nRpeNa ha ॥ 1-63-10 ॥
