नातिह्रस्वा न महती नीलॊत्पलसुगन्धिनी पद्मायताक्षी सुश्रॊणी असितायत मूर्धजा ॥ १-६१-९६ ॥

'And she was neither low nor tall. And she was of the fragrance of the blue lotus, of eyes large as lotus-petals, of thighs fair and round, of dense masses of black curly hair.' ॥ 1-61-96 ॥

english translation

nAtihrasvA na mahatI nIlòtpalasugandhinI padmAyatAkSI suzròNI asitAyata mUrdhajA ॥ 1-61-96 ॥

सर्वलक्षणसंपन्ना वैडूर्य मणिसंनिभा पञ्चानां पुरुषेन्द्राणां चित्तप्रमथिनी रहः ॥ १-६१-९७ ॥

'And endued with every auspicious feature and of complexion like that of the emerald, she became the charmer of the hearts of five foremost of men.' ॥ 1-61-97 ॥

english translation

sarvalakSaNasaMpannA vaiDUrya maNisaMnibhA paJcAnAM puruSendrANAM cittapramathinI rahaH ॥ 1-61-97 ॥

सिद्दिर धृतिश च ये देव्यौ पञ्चानां मातरौ तु ते कुन्ती माद्री च जज्ञाते मतिस तु सुबलात्मजा ॥ १-६१-९८ ॥

'And the two goddesses Siddhi and Dhriti became the mothers of those five and were called Kunti and Madri. And she who was Mati became the daughter (Gandhari) of Suvala. ' ॥ 1-61-98 ॥

siddira dhRtiza ca ye devyau paJcAnAM mAtarau tu te kuntI mAdrI ca jajJAte matisa tu subalAtmajA ॥ 1-61-98 ॥

इति देवासुराणां ते गन्धर्वाप्सरसां तथा अंशावतरणं राजन रक्षसानां च कीर्तितम ॥ १-६१-९९ ॥

'Thus, O king, have I recited to thee all about the incarnation, according to their respective portions, of the gods, the Asuras, the Gandharvas, the Apsaras, and of the Rakshasas.' ॥ 1-61-99 ॥

iti devAsurANAM te gandharvApsarasAM tathA aMzAvataraNaM rAjana rakSasAnAM ca kIrtitama ॥ 1-61-99 ॥

ये पृथिव्यां समुद्भूता राजानॊ युद्धदुर्मदाः महात्मानॊ यदूनां च ये जाता विपुले कुले ॥ १-६१-१०० ॥

'Those kings who were born on the earth, possessed arrogance due to their prowess in battle, and were magnanimous individuals from the illustrious Yadu dynasty.' ॥ 1-61-100 ॥

ye pRthivyAM samudbhUtA rAjAnò yuddhadurmadAH mahAtmAnò yadUnAM ca ye jAtA vipule kule ॥ 1-61-100 ॥
