सिद्दिर धृतिश च ये देव्यौ पञ्चानां मातरौ तु ते कुन्ती माद्री च जज्ञाते मतिस तु सुबलात्मजा ।। १-६१-९८ ।।

sanskrit

'And the two goddesses Siddhi and Dhriti became the mothers of those five and were called Kunti and Madri. And she who was Mati became the daughter (Gandhari) of Suvala. ' ।। 1-61-98 ।।

english translation

siddira dhRtiza ca ye devyau paJcAnAM mAtarau tu te kuntI mAdrI ca jajJAte matisa tu subalAtmajA || 1-61-98 ||
