जगतॊ यः स सर्वस्य विद्विष्टः कलिपूरुषः यः सर्वां घातयाम आस पृथिवीं पुरुषाधमः येन वैरं समुद्दीप्तं भूतान्त करणं महत ।। १-६१-८१ ।।

sanskrit

'The Kali Purusha, who harbors animosity towards the entire world, is the vilest among men. Through him, the great enmity that sets the beings ablaze and disrupts the harmony of the world is ignited.' ।। 1-61-81 ।।

english translation

jagatò yaH sa sarvasya vidviSTaH kalipUruSaH yaH sarvAM ghAtayAma Asa pRthivIM puruSAdhamaH yena vairaM samuddIptaM bhUtAnta karaNaM mahata || 1-61-81 ||

पौलस्त्या भरातरः सर्वे जज्ञिरे मनुजेष्व इह शतं दुःशासनादीनां सर्वेषां करूरकर्मणाम ।। १-६१-८२ ।।

sanskrit

'They who had been the sons of Pulastya (the Rakshasas) were born on earth among men of Duryodhana's brothers, that century of wicked individuals commencing with Duhasasana as their first.' ।। 1-61-82 ।।

english translation

paulastyA bharAtaraH sarve jajJire manujeSva iha zataM duHzAsanAdInAM sarveSAM karUrakarmaNAma || 1-61-82 ||

दुर्मुखॊ दुःसहश चैव ये चान्ये नानुशब्दिताः दुर्यॊधन सहायास ते पौलस्त्या भरतर्षभ ।। १-६१-८३ ।।

sanskrit

'And, O bull among the Bharata princes, Durmukha, Duhsaha, and others whose names I do not mention, who always supported Duryodhana (in all his schemes), were, indeed, the sons of Pulastya.' ।। 1-61-83 ।।

durmukhò duHsahaza caiva ye cAnye nAnuzabditAH duryòdhana sahAyAsa te paulastyA bharatarSabha || 1-61-83 ||

'O king, know that Yudhishthira was a manifestation of Dharma itself, Bhimasena of the wind god, and Arjuna of the king of gods.' ।। 1-61-84 ।।
