यः सुवर्चेति विख्यातः सॊमपुत्रः परतापवान अभिमन्युर बृहत कीर्तिर अर्जुनस्य सुतॊ ऽभवत ॥ १-६१-८६ ॥
'And he who was known as the mighty Varchas, the son of Soma, became Abhimanyu of wonderful deeds, the son of Arjuna.' ॥ 1-61-86 ॥

अग्नेर अंशं तु विद्धि तवं धृष्टद्युम्नं महारथम शिखण्डिनम अथॊ राजन सत्रीपुंसं विद्धि राक्षसम ॥ १-६१-८७ ॥
'Now, O king, that Dhrishtadyumna, the great warrior, was a part of Agni, and Shikhandi, who was both male and female, should be known as a demon.' ॥ 1-61-87 ॥
english translation
दरौपदेयाश च ये पञ्च बभूवुर भरतर्षभ विश्वे देवगणान राजंस तान विद्धि भरतर्षभ ॥ १-६१-८८ ॥
'And, O bull in Bharata's race, they who became the five sons of Draupadi, those bulls amongst the Bharata princes, were the celestials known as the Viswas.' ॥ 1-61-88 ॥

आमुक्तकवचः कर्णॊ यस तु जज्ञे महारथः दिवाकरस्य तं विद्धि देवस्यांशम अनुत्तमम ॥ १-६१-८९ ॥
'And the son of Surya was at first known in the world by the name of Vasusena. But, for his deeds, he subsequently came to be called Karna.' ॥ 1-61-89 ॥

यस तु नारायणॊ नाम देवदेवः सनातनः तस्यांशॊ मानुषेष्व आसीद वासुदेवः परतापवान ॥ १-६१-९० ॥
'The one known as Narayana, the eternal God of gods, had a portion of himself manifest among humans as the valiant Vasudeva.' ॥ 1-61-90 ॥
