'O Bharata, through the blessings of Mahadeva and the satisfaction of his desires, he achieved unity with the divine, displaying great valor and prowess.' ।। 1-61-66 ।।

'And, O king, his son the heroic Aswatthaman, of eyes like the lotus-petals, gifted with surpassing energy, and the terror of all foes, the great oppressor of all enemies, was born on earth, of the united portions of Mahadeva, Yama, Kama, and Krodha.' ।। 1-61-67 ।।
