अश्वत्थामा महावीर्यः शत्रुपक्ष कषयं करः वीरः कमलपत्राक्षः कषिताव आसीन नराधिप ॥ १-६१-६७ ॥

sanskrit

'And, O king, his son the heroic Aswatthaman, of eyes like the lotus-petals, gifted with surpassing energy, and the terror of all foes, the great oppressor of all enemies, was born on earth, of the united portions of Mahadeva, Yama, Kama, and Krodha.' ॥ 1-61-67 ॥

english translation

azvatthAmA mahAvIryaH zatrupakSa kaSayaM karaH vIraH kamalapatrAkSaH kaSitAva AsIna narAdhipa ॥ 1-61-67 ॥
