अश्वत्थामा महावीर्यः शत्रुपक्ष कषयं करः वीरः कमलपत्राक्षः कषिताव आसीन नराधिप ।। १-६१-६७ ।।

sanskrit

'And, O king, his son the heroic Aswatthaman, of eyes like the lotus-petals, gifted with surpassing energy, and the terror of all foes, the great oppressor of all enemies, was born on earth, of the united portions of Mahadeva, Yama, Kama, and Krodha.' ।। 1-61-67 ।।

english translation

azvatthAmA mahAvIryaH zatrupakSa kaSayaM karaH vIraH kamalapatrAkSaH kaSitAva AsIna narAdhipa || 1-61-67 ||
