अश्रुबिन्दूद्भवा तस्याः परावर्तत महानदी अनुवर्तती सृतिं तस्या भृगॊः पत्न्या यशस्विनः ॥ १-६-६ ॥
'The tears that rolled down from her eyes transformed into a great river, and that river began to flow in the path taken by the illustrious wife of the great ascetic Bhrigu.'॥ 1-6-6 ॥
english translation
तस्या मार्गं सृतवतीं दृष्ट्वा तु सरितं तदा नाम तस्यास तदा नद्याश चक्रे लॊकपितामहः वधू सरेति भगवांश चयवनस्याश्रमं परति ॥ १-६-७ ॥
'And the Grandfather of the worlds seeing that river follow the path of his son's wife gave it a name himself, and he called it Vadhusara. And it passeth by the hermitage of Chyavana.'॥ 1-6-7 ॥
english translation
स एवं चयवनॊ जज्ञे भृगॊः पुत्रः परतापवान तं ददर्श पिता तत्र चयवनं तां च भामिनीम ॥ १-६-८ ॥
'And in this manner was born Chyavana of great ascetic power, the son of Bhrigu.His father beheld him there, along with his charming wife.'॥ 1-6-8 ॥
english translation
स पुलॊमां ततॊ भार्यां पप्रच्छ कुपितॊ भृगुः केनासि रक्षसे तस्मै कथितेह जिहीर्षवे न हि तवां वेद तद रक्षॊ मद भार्यां चारुहासिनीम ॥ १-६-९ ॥
'Bhrigu continued, "O charming one, the Rakshasa failed to recognize you as my wife. Now, please inform me who revealed this information to the Rakshasa, so that I may curse him out of anger."'॥ 1-6-9 ॥
english translation
तत्त्वम आख्याहि तं हय अद्य शप्तुम इच्छाम्य अहं रुषा बिभेति कॊ न शापान मे कस्य चायं वयतिक्रमः ॥ १-६-१० ॥
'Bhrigu replied, 'I wish to curse him today in anger. Who would not fear my curse? This is the limit of my forbearance."'॥ 1-6-10 ॥
